SummerStage, River to River, RiverRocks
Free music is everywhere this season'but you already knew that, since you read TONY's Summer Concerts issue cover to cover. Among the mainstream options, see Conor Oberst (July 4) at the River to River Festival (rivertorivernyc.com), Q-Tip (July 18) at SummerStage (summerstage.org) and Yeasayer (August 13) at RiverRocks (riverrocksnyc.com). Brooklyn Concerts
This is really two series in one. On Thursday nights, you've got the Seaside Summer Concert Series (Asser Levy Seaside Park, W 5th St at Surf Ave, Brighton Beach), where Blondie, Pat Benatar and the Donnas will rock (August 13). On Mondays, head to the Martin Luther King Jr. Concert Series (Wingate Field, Winthrop St between Brooklyn and Kingston Aves, Crown Heights). Mad. Sq. Music Oval Lawn Series
The series begins with Loudon Wainwright III, father of Martha and Rufus (who are not on the bill, although their sister Lucy Wainwright Roche and aunt Sloan Wainwright are). Madison Square Park, E 23rd St at Madison Ave (madisonsquarepark.org). Wed June 17'Aug 5.
Roosevelt Live
This series on the lawn varies from groovy tracks by Vintage DJ (Saturday 6) to country-folk by the Flanks (August 1). Riverwalk Commons, 455 Main St, Roosevelt Island (rooseveltlive.com). Sat 4pm.
